Drake University and Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences have signed a MoU to perceive academic and health care cooperation and exchange. This Memorandum of Understanding opens the door for development of future programs involving faculty, staff, students and scholars from both institutions.
Scope of Collaboration
Drake University and Pravara Institute of Medical Sciences will undertake the following activities and programs based on their respective interests and academic needs and the desire to foster development of a cooperative relationship:
- Exchange of faculty, staff, students and scholars
- Exchange of academic information and materials
- Collaborative research activities
- Collaborative publications, and participation in conferences and academic meetings
- Joint Academic Development, including curriculum development and innovative teaching methodologies such as experiential learning
- Development of special programs to meet the needs of the partner university
- Other programs as agreed upon by both universities
Areas of Cooperation for Research and Training
- Medical and health sciences including community medicine, rural health, global health and epidemiology, remote medicine & e-health, communicable & non-communicable diseases, emerging and re-emerging diseases, health management and economics, health care financing, health care delivery systems, health policy, health informatics, genomic and molecular medicine
- Alternative systems of medicine including Ayurvedic medicine, herbal, and yoga
- Pharmacology, pharmacognosy and pharmacogenomics,
- Drug discovery trials, development, formulations and clinical outcomes
- Biotechnology including environmental and neuroscience
- Management including biosciences and pharmaceuticals
Duration: 1st November 2012 – 31st October 2017
Funding: Both parties agree to apply for external funding to enhance co- operation
