Introduction

Department of ENT and Head & Neck Surgery is integral part of the hospital which deals with IPD, OPD and causalities attending the hospital. Department is working round the clock to help & treat the emergencies that are sent with tertiary care reference to the hospital.

In addition to these activities department also deals with teaching, training, research activities in the field of otorhinolaryngology for graduate and postgraduate level of various felids such as MBBS/ MS (ENT) /DLO/ BPTH / GENERAL NURSING AND BSC NURSING.

Being established in 1984, the department of ENT has grown immensely with respect to the facilities and care provided to the rural population of LONI and the adjoining rural areas.

The department of ENT deals with a plethora of academic and medical/surgical activities. Besides catering to the medical needs of the rural population of Loni and the adjoining villages, the department also plays an important role in the teaching curriculum of the medical college. Weekly lectures clinics and tutorials are conducted for undergraduate (MBBS/BPTH/Nursing) by the faculty. A post end exam is conducted for assessing the students at the end of each clinical posting. The members of the faculty not only help and encourage the students but also take active participation in research activities carried out within the department.

Departmental Extensional Activities
Faculty and residents of the department take active part in multidiagnostic camps held in the adjoining rural areas arranged by Pravara medical trust as an ongoing effort to provide medical care to the underprivileged and suppressed.

The Department of ENT has conducted camps under the “Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan “held by the Zilla Parishad under the central government scheme for aiding the children, suffering with a multitude of ENT problems in achieving better hearing.

Thus we serve mankind with the knowledge bestowed upon us by the Almighty and the trust laid in us by man.
