Introduction:

Neurophysiotherapy is one of the major branch of Physiotherapy which deals with the problems related to disease and disorders of Nervous system. The department was established to provide the health care services to Rural people with movement and functional disorders that have originated from problems within the body’ Neuromuscular system. The treatment is given to meet needs of the rural people through preventive, curative, therapeutic and rehabilitation. In addition, we work to improve overall health and quality of life of an individual.

Goals :

• Department envision creating dedicated Physiotherapist, who are globally competitive, ethically & morally responsible healthcare professionals.
• To produce most skillful and highly trained Physiotherapist who globally competent in cognitive, affective and psychomotor domains so as to impart quality education, hands on skill and research to serve the various needs of Physiotherapy and evidence based practice in rehabilitation of person with disabilities, health promotion and wellbeing.

Objectives of Undergraduate program:

1. To provide quality & high standard education in Physiotherapy.
2. To develop Physiotherapists well versed with abilities & confidence to provide high quality health care
3. Promote research on all dimensions of Physiotherapeutic knowledge.
4. Develop efficient techniques for all forms of written and verbal communication including accurate and timely record keeping.

Objectives of Post-graduate program:

1. To develop overall abilities of the students.
2. To provide quality & high standard education in Physiotherapy.
3. Provide care to patients – efficiently and in a cost-effective way – in a range of settings, and maintain foremost the interests of individual patients.
4. Promote research on all dimensions of Physiotherapeutic knowledge.
5. Identify the influence of biological, psychosocial, economic, and spiritual factors on patients’ well-being and act in an appropriate manner.
